WRITING IS WHAT I DO

Writing is what i do, its what ive always done, although this past year has been so difficult and as i said before, i just couldnt face it. Instead I chose to block it all out, but things eventually came back to me.
Today i wrote a lot, and i find myself loving it as much as ever, once all the sadness is down, then i will get back to humour.
Above are some of the journals I have spent my life writing. I got a 5 year diary for my 7th birthday and have kept one ever since.
I found a diary from when I was 10. It said "wore my purple suit, had steak pie for dinner And weighed 6 stone." I remember thinking
Oh my god I probably need to lose 6 stone. I actually need to lose what I used to weigh. It's like I need to lose myself.
Oh my god I probably need to lose 6 stone. I actually need to lose what I used to weigh. It's like I need to lose myself.
Stephen King said "if, when you wake up in the morning the first thing you think about is writing, You are a writer."
I always always wanted to be a writer and i have had a few things published, but i lacked the courage to truly invest in it. I got a job for a local newspaper, having had a young son, I couldnt go to Uni to sit my NCTJ so i started off selling advertising, getting a foot in the door, it didnt materialise.
My son will be 18 when im 34 so I am considering it then, I love it, and i will still be young enough for a change of career.
I wrote a short story once and had it published, I am considering writing it on here for some opinions.
These journals are filled with everything from my life, and when my son was 2, i started recording every funny thing he has ever said. The first thing was "Look mummy, the son's on!"
Reisse is hilarious. Biased maybe, truthful, definitely.
This is reisse and I recently. He didnt usually have a shaved head, that was the result of him going to hairdressers and being dared, so he got a mohican, my mum opened the front door and sent him straight back out to get the rest shaved off.
He is my best friend.
I dont want to come across as one of these hippy dippy mums that bores people about their child, but i genuinely adore him.He has the sweetest nature and is the best company. When we were on holiday, people commented how nice he was because although he's 14 and 6 foot 2, he made sure all his friends had a drink when he went to the bar, always getting theirs first then his own.
The other day, watching the closing olympic ceremony, he though John Lennon was Ozzy Osborne. Quite why, im not sure but he has since been educated.
I started writing stories when i was bought a typewriter by my parents for my 7th birthday.
My first was Sparano and Ranco. It was about a boy in Mexico who has a magic talking horse and could go back in time, became adopted by a woman called Lilian who had an enemy called Mocky. Haha. I still have these, might go and take a picture and post it.
Im going to post my short story for anyone who is interested
